What are the themes of your play?
Race. Class ,belonging.  How British are black people really. What does Britishness even mean?

Why did you write it and why now?
Because it challenges our lives today and holds a mirror up to the contradictions of Britishness.

Which playwrights are you influenced by and why?
August Wilson, his plays are culturally specific as well as universal.  Barrie Keefe, he gave my generation a voice.  Winsome Pinnock, her success gave me permission to tell my stories.

What do you want to achieve as a playwright?
To surprise and challenge my audience as well as myself.
