What A’ Fe’ Yu – a rehearsed staged reading as part of The John Thaw Initiative 2019, Motherhood(s) Season, 13-15 November at the The Actors Centre.

Set in contemporary London, West Indian born, Beverley takes charge of  the family printing business after the untimely death of her husband. But against her wishes, her only son refuses to involve himself in helping run the family firm,  infuriating his mother. So, with a failing business putting her lifestyle at stake Beverley must do whatever it takes to protect the family legacy.

This brand new full length play by award winning playwright Mark Norfolk, raw and ‘in-your-face’, here performed as a work-in-progress showing to a London audience as part of the play development programme from the John Thaw Theatre, explores the legacy of the Windrush Generation and it’s meaning in today’s heady social-political multiculturalism.

Mark Norfolk, was awarded the Roland Rees Bursary in 2015.
